In addition to producing excellent wines, Gabriele Mazzeschi's Le Capanne winery also grows around 6000 olive trees. The conditions are optimal, gravelly soil in the Tuscan hills at an altitude of 350-450 metres above sea level. The 6000 olive trees, of the classic Tuscan cultivars Frantoio Moraiolo and Leccino, are terraced on the gravelly soil at an altitude of 350-450 metres above sea level
Arancino dell'Elba Smania Liquori
Made from local Oranges, this Ciliegino is a Sweet digestive from Elba island
The oranges used for the production of Arancino come from terraces scattered throughout the island of Elba. It is an artisanal liqueur produced and bottled on the island without the addition of preservatives or colouring agents. Any residues guarantee the genuineness of the product. It is advisable not to expose it to sunlight and to drink it cold in iced glasses.
Ingredients: water, alcohol, sugar, orange peels from Elba Island
Smania Liquori
Smania Liquori is an all-Elba company, both in the location of the production department and in the choice of raw materials, and is the only company in the area to produce liqueurs. The berries used for the Mirto, the leaves for the Ciliegino, are picked in the lush scrubland of Elba, the citrus fruits for the production of the Limoncino and Arancino come from the lemon houses of Sant’Andrea. To guarantee their genuineness, all Elba liqueurs are made by infusion without the addition of colouring agents, preservatives or other flavourings.
Tommaso IGT Poggio Nibbiale, Tasting notes:
Intense and lively ruby. Enveloping and alive on the nose, slightly balsamic, with notes of vanilla, cassis, tobacco, mint and black cherry. Taste composed and taut, dense tannins very well integrated. Final of excellent length.
Poggio Nibbiale
That of Poggio Nibbiale is a special story, which begins far away, in Germany... The Buchheim family had always dreamed of having a vineyard in Tuscany. Their wish came true when the Poggio Nibbiale winery was founded in 1998. Their dream of cultivating wine in the beautiful scenery of southern Tuscany became reality. The vineyards of Poggio Nibbiale are located in the hills of Maremma between Scansano and Magliano, 300 metres above the Tyrrhenian Sea, with a magnificent view of Giglio Island, Elba, Montecristo and the Monte Argentario peninsula.
Tommaso IGT Poggio Nibbiale
The grapes for this unique wine, made from 100% Sangiovese, are exclusively grown on a special hill slope on Poggio Nibbiale. They are handpicked and post-selected prior to vinification. Tommaso Poggio Nibbiale is perfect to match Matured cheese and Red meats. With this wine, Poggio Nibbiale intends to develop the full potential of the indigenous Sangiovese grapes. Consequently, the pure terroir of Poggio Nibbiale – characterized by the close Tyrrhenian sea – emerges most prominently within the Tommaso. The wine ages for 24 months in oak wood barrels of the first and second passage. With barren elegance, balanced acidity, and soft tannins it presents the character and uniqueness of this classic Italian grape variety.
Bolgheri DOC Casa al Piano Pietranova , Tasting notes:
Flavours of Red fruits, Leather and a Black Cherries
Pietranova
PietraNova is located in Tuscany in the Bolgheri D.O.C. area, one of the most prestigious territories for the important production of wines of the highest quality, recognised by Italian and foreign consumers. The territory is sheltered from winter winds by a chain of hills that runs parallel to the coast, while in summer, it is swept by refreshing winds that are generated to the west, from the Tyrrhenian Sea.
Today, it is proven that it is precisely this proximity to the sea that favours the production of great wines, in Bolgheri as in Bordeaux, a city with which Bolgheri is twinned precisely because of these marvellous characteristics that they share
Bolgheri DOC Casa al Piano Pietranova:
There are no passages in wood, so vinification and ageing take place only in steel. The result is an intense, compact ruby red wine with fresh, ethereal aromas and notes of small red fruits, violets and roses. On tasting, the wine is fresh and appealing, ready and easy to drink. The taste-olfactory balance is excellent and the finely mineral finish is pleasant.
Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Renzo Marinai, Tasting notes:
Displays a deep ruby red colour and a pervasive, elegant and persistent bouquet; it is dry in the mouth, balanced and warm, with lots of body. The Riserva offers real concentration and depth of character.
Chianti Classico Riserva DOCG Renzo Marinai
The Renzo Marinai Chianti Classico is a very well-balanced expression of Sangiovese showing a large component of ripe fruit balanced by structure and freshness. The fruity core of the wine's bouquet is pleasantly surrounded by notes of spice, leather and delicate tobacco. It is a fantastic, informal and approachable wine
Renzo Marinai
Renzo Marinai's estate is named after the nearby ancient church of San Martino. Renzo Marinai himself took over the estate in 1996 and, with the support of oenologist Giovanni Cappelli, completely reorganised its operations, converting it into an entirely organic farm. The estate covers about 33 hectares; just over eight are planted with vines. The terrain is undulating, rising and falling between 350 and 500 metres above sea level. The soil is marly, perfect for Sangiovese, allowing good drainage and the development of deep roots.
Gr 1 5652 Il Pingro, Tasting notes:
On the palate, this Maremma white wine will make you feel all the flavour of its land, with fruity notes of peach and myrtle and an aftertaste of Mediterranean herbs that will take you on a unique sensory journey through the true flavours of the Maremma
GR 1 5652 Il Pingro:
The name GR1 5652 is linked to the number plate of the Pasqualino tractor, which belonged to our great-grandfather and which we still use to work in the vineyard.
Il Pingro
IL PINGRO is a young business run by Chiara and Margherita: two cousins determined to breathe new life into the old family vineyards. Only 1 km from the sea, in the province of Grosseto, our vines grow on sandy and mineral soils, shaken by the gusts of the Mistral: that is why our wine tastes of the sea. Produced by four hands along the coast of the Tuscan Maremma, GR1 5652 is made from native Ansonica and Procanico grapes. The end result reflects us and our land. Our philosophy is based on healthy and respectful agriculture: every step of the process is done by hand. What we offer is a simple wine, but made with care. Inspired by the taste of the farmer's wine. IL PINGRO comes from 'il Pingrosso', the name of the place where we are located. In the middle of the field is a large maritime pine tree that our great-grandfather planted to find some shade on hot summer days. This pine tree, which grew solitary, became a 'big pine tree' in width, hence the name Pingrosso. Shortened to Pingro, for simplicity's sake. Today that pine has become our symbol, impossible not to notice.
Mirtillino il Baggiolo:
A typical liqueur from the Abetone region, perfectly balanced, the berries blend perfectly with the liqueur and preserve the taste and smell excellently, excellent as a digestive to drink after meals or even to moisten desserts or fruit cakes. The berries inside can be consumed.
Il Baggiolo
Baggiolo produces juices, compotes and fruit-based sauces at an altitude of 1400 metres. Living above 1000m altitude means a change of perspective. Respect for nature, passion for the land, the quest for a healthy life and natural food are feelings that are stronger, more tenacious in the mountains. In Abetone, the woods and snow-capped peaks tell of great ski champions, but in the high-altitude heaths, the undisputed protagonist of the stories is the wild bilberry, which has always been harvested here in large quantities. Thus began the story of Baggiolo, at 1400 metres above sea level, with Leandro and Marilena who, in the 1980s, opened a small workshop to process the fruits of the undergrowth. Production of the first jams and juices began, following recipes handed down from generation to generation. Only the best raw materials have always been chosen, processed by skilful hands that know how to give the right spreadability to the jams, making them easy to spread on bread.
Ingredients:
Hydro-alcoholic solution, Wild blueberries, Sugar, Flavouring. alcoholic strength 25%.
Tasting Notes:
This unique wine combines the solar energy of Sangiovese with the refined finesse of Pinot Noir. The blend reveals an unexpected balance: the depth of Tuscany tempered by the delicacy of Burgundy. The colour is bright ruby, slightly translucent. The nose opens with notes of black cherry, ripe strawberry, with subtle hints of undergrowth, blond tobacco and sweet spices. On the palate, the attack is soft, supported by a pleasant acidity. The tannic texture is fine, taut and precise. A wine of character and elegance, to be served slightly chilled.
La Corneta:
Rooted in Tuscany, in the heart of the prestigious Chianti Colli Aretini terroir, La Corneta bears the mark of time and the seasons. The wines are produced from 8 hectares of organically cultivated vineyards, where historic grape varieties coexist with rarer ones: Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Incrocio Manzoni. This diversity, combined with living soils and controlled yields, provides health and expressive raw materials. The approach is then based on rigorous vinification and careful selection of the containers for ageing: temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, barriques and tonneaux of different sizes and vintages, terracotta and cocciopesto amphorae are tools that are used with precision. This meticulous, contemporary and demanding method is part of a constant search for balance, structure and natural complexity, without standardising taste.

It has a rounded taste, with hints of cherry, spices, leather and chocolate.
Aromas of currants, violets and cocoa. A wine of great structure, with elegant, firm and creamy tannins. Rich and intense, with sweet currants and berries characterising the finish
Brancaia, winery in Chianti & Maremma

What began as a hobby then, has grown steadily over the past 40 years to become one of the most important wineries in Tuscany. Brancaia loves and deeply respects the traditions of the past, but at the same time is not afraid to imagine new and modern approaches and organic viticulture has always been central for Brancaia.
Il Blu Brancaia, iconic wine
...the wine that put Brancaia on the map of Tuscany's most famous wineries' (Monica Larner for Robert Parker).
The flagship wine for Casa Brancaia perfectly embodies the winery's unmistakable identity and winemaking vision, based on an uncompromising commitment to quality and respect for nature.
Since its debut in 1988, IL BLU has been the result of a constant quest for absolute perfection. It is pressed from only the best grapes hand-selected from vineyards in the Chianti region.
The blend of 80% Merlot, 10% Sangiovese and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon is aged for 18 months in French oak barriques (two-thirds new) and a further three months in concrete tanks, before at least another year of bottle ageing. With fine tannins and a soft, full finish, IL BLU is a full-bodied wine that impresses with its complexity and elegance.
Over the past 30 years, IL BLU has not only become a symbol of Brancaia, but has gained recognition all over the world. For many wine lovers it has long been considered a classic and is regularly praised by wine critics around the world.

Capezzana
At Capezzana they know it well, they have been making wine since 802, not 1802. If you’re looking for the magic formula which makes their wines so special, you’ll find it in the great diversity of each vineyard’s soil and orientation that create extreme and fantastic biodiversity.
Trebbiano IGT Capezzana, Tasting notes:
It shows a straw yellow color and nuances of gold. To the nose almond, yellow flowers of the field, vanilla are the most present notes. To the palate it is intense, harmonic with delicate tannins. Elegant, ethereal and balanced, with a complex and persistent aftertaste.
Trebbiano is the novelty and the bet of the company; produced for the first time in 2000 with the aim of relaunching the Trebbiano grape in Tuscany. From a mass selection, a short pruning, a severe green harvest, and a late harvest, Capezzana obtains a very rich must, which ferments and ages in tonneaux, acquires elegant perfumes, and lends itself to long aging. If you’re looking for the magic formula which makes their wines so special, you’ll find it in the great diversity of each vineyard’s soil and orientation that create extreme and fantastic biodiversity. To match the Trebbiano Capezzana, we suggest white meat or shellfish.

Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione Il Poggio Castello di Monsanto, Tasting notes:
This is a wine with a lively and deep color. The olfactory impact is intense and varied, with important fruity notes.
Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione Il Poggio
Tannins are generally ripe and soft in the mouth but with the great acidity and minerality that distinguish Sangiovese grown on Galestro soil.
Castello di Monsanto
There are two places at Castello di Monsanto that capture every visitor for the charm and the magic that is perceived: the Poggio’s hill and the historic cellar. Being able to transmit at least a tenth of the emotions you experience visiting the Monsanto winery is very difficult. The aromas, the echoes, the silences, the layers of noble molds make it a unique place that deserves at least one visit. The company has its origin from here. So from a climb on the Poggio and from a descent into the cellar, the idea of making a Cru in Chianti Classico was born for the first time. It was 1962 when the first 6,000 bottles of the Chianti Classico Riserva Il Poggio were produced. Of the 72 hectares planted with vineyards, between 260 and 310 meters s.l.m., 56 ha are in Sangiovese, the vine in which the company has deeply believed from the beginning. The Sangiovese clones present in the vineyards come from a mass selection of vines found in the vineyard Il Poggio, “the mother” of all the vineyards of Monsanto. In a small percentage are then present the two historical vines of the Chianti Classico vine: Canaiolo and Colorino.
Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva La Sala, Tasting notes:
A deep ruby-coloured wine, the nose has a dense and intense texture of floral and spicy scents, bergamot zest, black pepper, leather, lots of red and black berry fruit and an enveloping finish with balsamic notes of mint and eucalyptus. The palate offers the same aromatic complexity, enhanced by a pleasant minerality and dense, soft, ripe tannins.
Chianti Classico DOCG Riserva La Sala
This wine obtains a three-week maceration at a controlled temperature of around 30°C. Use of punching-down techniques to obtain complete extraction of the polyphenolic richness of the grapes. Maturation in the cellar for at least 18 months, 50% in 38 hl French oak casks and 50% in third and fourth passage French barriques. Finally, bottle ageing for 6 months
La Sala
La Sala del Torriano has ancient traditions, dating back to 1200, and is located in San Casciano Val di Pesa, right in the heart of Chianti Classico. Thus was born the project of the new winery, based on the desire to produce organic wines of the highest quality, made with care and dedication in the utmost respect for the environment.

Val di Cornia DOC Okenio Terradonnà, Tasting notes:
An impenetrable ruby-red mantle, the elegant and powerful bouquet highlights blackberry and cassis against a background of humus and fern; it then hints at balsamic resins, coffee and cinnamon. It has a remarkable structure with dense tannins. The alcoholic component is properly integrated in the progression thanks to the contribution of a generous sapidity. The finish is persistent and elegant.
Okenio is the commander of the Terradonnà winery, the highest expression of the territory of Suvereto and the Val di Cornia in a pure cabernet sauvignon (100%). They have been producing this wine since 2002 and it has made them known in the world of enology. The high quality obtained with great tenacity and every year is the greatest challenge. Produced with manual selection of the best grapes in the vineyard, slow maceration in vitrified cement vats for 24 days, malolactic fermentation in French oak barriques where it remains for 14 months. Gramineta
The history of Gramineta goes back about two centuries. The ancestors of the family that founded the company, in order to escape from malaria, a disease that was very present in the coastal area in the 1800s, were forced to sell their possessions and land in the Castiglione della Pescaia area to buy land in the Roccastrada area to cultivate olive trees and vines. They have always preferred the choice of a healthy and genuine agriculture far from large-scale production and the use of substances that encourage production at the expense of the quality of the final product. Today, they are producers of many high quality products, especially extra virgin olive oil, thanks to the suitable soil that enhances the native cultivars.
