Renzo Marinai's estate is named after the nearby ancient church of San Martino. Renzo Marinai himself took over the estate in 1996 and, with the support of oenologist Giovanni Cappelli, completely reorganised its operations, converting it into an entirely organic farm. The estate covers about 33 hectares; just over eight are planted with vines. The terrain is undulating, rising and falling between 350 and 500 metres above sea level. When the Nannoni Grappe distillery was founded, the culture of distillation did not exist in Tuscany, the 'marc' was mostly thrown away and the grappa produced in the region was destined for wholesale sale to northern Italy. Thanks to the work of Priscilla Occhipinti, the only woman master distiller in the world, Nannoni Grappe has established itself over the years as the best producer of distilled spirits in the world, in fact, Nannoni Grappe has won numerous awards, 144 gold medals in 9 years, we can say that it is the most awarded producer.

Scents of Red Fruits, mostly Cherry Warm and Soft, with a good Structure. Amazing pair with Tuscan salami and white meats, also with fish soups. Cilegiolo from the vineyards of Sovana and Pitigliano. The oldest vineyards, in Pitigliano, were planted in the 1960s while in Sovana the ciliegiolo comes from vineyards that derive from a massal selection of the oldest vines and were planted between 1995 and 2003. The grapes are harvested and selected by hand. Fermentation takes place without the addition of yeasts and lasts, including maceration, between 15 and 20 days. It matures for a few months in steel.

Sassotondo
The producer, Sassotondo, works with passion in the lands that unite Pitigliano and Sovana. A powerful and mysterious territory: the autochthonous vines and an environment which is in some ways extreme – with tuff rising everywhere – produce fine and elegant wines, naturally concentrated, sapid and spicy. Sassotondo’s wines endeavor to communicate the power and mistery of the land they come from: the local varieties of vines combined with an unique environment, with the tufo stone that appears everywhere, make wines that are fine and elegant, naturally concentrated, sapid and spicy.
