San Gimignano - Vernaccia di San Gimignano DOCG

Straw yellow color. On the nose it is complex and aromatic with a citrus and floral note in the foreground. On the palate it is sapid, thick and deep. It stands out for its elegant and rigorous bearing.

Perfect to drink now, improves with time up to 5 years

A great white wine, from a single vineyard where the characteristics of the local grape par excellence, Vernaccia, emerge clearly and distinctly. Although pleasant when young, it often surprises for its ability to age, evolving notes, both olfactory and tasting, complex and mineral. It is not by chance that it is one of the very few white wines produced also in the reserved type. This Vernaccia di San Gimignano wine enhances many gastronomic combinations. Find its natural place in the Mediterranean cuisine in which extra virgin olive oil dominates. Excellent with pasta dishes with white sauces, rice salads, and pasta salads. Surprising is with the ribollita and all its variants that are found in Tuscany. Extraordinary with fish dishes prepared in any way: baked, fried, grilled or baked, as well as raw fish. Magnificent with various fries and eggs. Amazing with white meat prepared with sauces, and without. Excellent with vegetables of all seasons, and their preparations. Exquisite with fresh and medium-aged cheeses, which enhances the flavor. The producer, Colombaio di Santa Chiara turned to viticulture in 2002, when on the initiative of Alessio, the youngest of the three brothers, he decided to become part of the wonderful and complex world of wine. Alessio had started studying enology and the passion had involved him so much that he wanted to put his studies to good use.

After the order we prepare it in 24-48 hours and shipping within Europe usually takes 3 to 5 days if all products are available.

If a product is listed in the cart as “Available on backorder” the timing increases by 48h because we have to receive it from the manufacturer itself.

Our priority is to pack and ship the products as safely as possible. Wine and oil bottles are shipped with special cardboard protections, there will be no breakages.

All cold cuts and cheeses are vacuum sealed. In summer we also use dry ice and coolers to keep products fresh and their quality intact.
