Chianti Classico DOCG Gran Selezione Renzo Marinai

It is a 100% Sangiovese with an intense and brilliant red colour, delicate, elegant, harmonious, with a remarkable body and very persistent character, a wine of great substance and surprising complexity. A wine for great ageing.

 Renzo Marinai

Renzo Marinai’s estate is named after the nearby ancient church of San Martino. Renzo Marinai himself took over the estate in 1996 and, with the support of oenologist Giovanni Cappelli, completely reorganised its operations, converting it into an entirely organic farm. The estate covers about 33 hectares; just over eight are planted with vines. The terrain is undulating, rising and falling between 350 and 500 metres above sea level. The soil is marly, perfect for Sangiovese, allowing good drainage and the development of deep roots.

How does the shipping work?

After the order we prepare the shipping in 24-48 hours and delivery within Europe usually takes 3 to 5 days if all products are available.

What is a back-ordered product?

If a product is listed in the cart as "Available to order" or "backorder" the timing increases by 48h because we have to receive it from the manufacturer.

How do we ship the products?

Our priority is to pack and ship products as safely as possible. The bottles of wine and oil are shipped with special cardboard protections, there will be no breakages.

Do you use refrigerated transport?

No, all the products we sell are seasoned and under vaacum. They do not need to be transported at controlled temperature in a refrigerated truck. However, in the summer, for additional safety we can use dry ice and other protections to ensure an even more careful service.

RENZO MARINAI

The soil is marl, perfect for Sangiovese, allowing good drainage and the development of deep roots. After Renzo Marinai’s arrival at San Martino, a Cecione in 1996 new vineyards were laid out and planted, and the traditional dry stone walls were painstakingly rebuilt to reflect the land as it had looked for centuries.
