Montalcino - DOC

Elegant, floral, with a spicy note. Well structured, drinkable and pleasant, full bodied, harmonious and balanced

Perfect to drink now, improves with time up to 10 years

100% Sangiovese, the Rosso di Montalcino Franco Pacenti is known as the younger brother of Brunello, but which expresses its own identity strongly linked to the terroir, it is a young wine that combines the structure with vivacity and freshness. Thanks to its drinkability and harmony, it shows a vibrant fragrance on the palate and pleasantness that will delight you with every taste, combining it with classic Tuscan first courses and contadina soups. The Franco Pacenti estate is located at the foot of the hill of Montalcino, on the north-east side, in the blessed basin of the Canalicchio, a classic and historical area, counted among the most suitable of the denomination.  The winery was built at the beginning of the 2000s, following the transformation carried out by Franco Pacenti from a multi-purpose company to an internationally recognized specialized in viticulture. Today the heart of the company, the new winery, designed on a single level minimizing the environmental impact within the UNESCO site of Val d’Orcia, dialogues between past and present, welcoming in a functional way all phases of production. Here, where tradition and technology merge, the wines find the ideal conditions to mature in their maximum expression, exalting the Sangiovese, enhancing the terroir and the peculiarities of each vintage. Elegant and powerful wines at the same time, fruit of the perfect combination of traditional knowledge and modern technology, expression of the territory and the men who cultivate it. At Canalicchio the classic interpretation of Sangiovese gives life to wines of character, elegant and powerful at the same time, emblem of the work of the farmers and their wise hands.
