Podere Montale
Podere Montale, was founded in July 2014 but found its true beginning with the first harvest of the 2015 vintage. The story is all to be written. The will and the road taken in these years is to create a well-integrated reality on a territorial and social level, which can be a flagship for the entire community and for the name of Montecucco. The marl soil on which the company stands is very suitable for wine production, being located in a place that enjoys the constant ventilation of the sea and the protection of Monte Amiata.
Morellino di Scansano Riserva Fattoria le Pupille Tasting Notes:
Deep, bright ruby red. Olfactory impact of blackberry and blueberry jam, blackcurrant and mint; opens on scents of Mediterranean scrub, blood orange, tobacco and black pepper. The entrance in the mouth is fresh and tasty; it shows a dynamic structure, imbued with a beautiful freshness in which the fine tannic texture provides an excellent basis for evolving at length in the bottle. Very persistent on citrus notes.
The Riserva represents the roots of Fattoria Le Pupille. Originally called 'Rosso di Pereta', it is the first wine produced by the estate, which then became Morellino di Scansano when the appellation was created in 1978.

Fattoria Le Pupille
The Le Pupille farm is located in Istia d’Ombrone, a small village on the outskirts of Grosseto;
in 1985 Elisabetta Geppetti, at that time a young girl of 20, took the reins of the winery; thanks to her, in 1982 the winery’s first ‘official’ label came out, a Morellino Riserva vintage 1978. In 1987 it was the turn of Saffredi, the wine that made the excellence of Maremma known far beyond its borders, soon becoming a true jewel of Italian oenology.
Even today, the company is still expanding, continuing the pursuit of quality in Maremma.
Vie Cave Fattoria Aldobrandesca, Tasting notes:
This wine has an intense, dark and dense ruby red colour. The nose offers fruity notes of blackberries, blueberries and sour cherries together with fragrant hints of cloves and vanilla. Its bouquet is complemented by light notes of tobacco. The palate is rich and captivating: velvety tannins support a long, lingering finish defined by hints of bitter chocolate and mint.
The freshly harvested grapes were brought to the cellar, destemmed, gently pressed and transferred to stainless steel tanks. The first stage was pre-fermentation cold maceration performed by lowering the temperature to 5-10 °C (41-50 °F) for 3 to 4 days in order to extract aromatic compounds and anthocyanins from the skins. The must temperature was then gradually increased to allow alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). The maceration techniques were carried out gently for the controlled extraction of soft tannins over a period of about one week. The wine was transferred to French oak barrels to complete malolactic fermentation and begin ageing for approximately 10 months. Vie Cave 2021 was bottle-aged for a further period before being released for sale.

Consequently, the pure terroir of Poggio Nibbiale – characterized by the close Tyrrhenian sea – emerges most prominently within the Tommaso. The wine ages for 24 months in oak wood barrels of the first and second passage. The Rocca di Frassinello wine is perfect with first courses, red meats, and aged cheeses. It has an intense ruby red colour with garnet reflections. A wine that manages to combine strength, intensity and elegance, with soft tannins that make it round in the mouth. On the nose it is fruity and with a nice spiciness. In the mouth, the taste is deep, but lively and with good balance.

The winery Rocca di Frassinello, is located in the high Maremma, near Gavorrano, and was designed by the famous architect Renzo Piano. The project is super ambitious and sees the collaboration of two world-famous wineries in this project: Castellare di Castellina and Lafite, the famous French chateau. The history of Gramineta goes back about two centuries. The ancestors of the family that founded the company, in order to escape from malaria, a disease that was very present in the coastal area in the 1800s, were forced to sell their possessions and land in the Castiglione della Pescaia area to buy land in the Roccastrada area to cultivate olive trees and vines. They have always preferred the choice of a healthy and genuine agriculture far from large-scale production and the use of substances that encourage production at the expense of the quality of the final product. Today, they are producers of many high quality products, especially extra virgin olive oil, thanks to the suitable soil that enhances the native cultivars.

IL PINGRO is a young business run by Chiara and Margherita: two cousins determined to breathe new life into the old family vineyards. Only 1 km from the sea, in the province of Grosseto, our vines grow on sandy and mineral soils, shaken by the gusts of the Mistral: that is why our wine tastes of the sea. Produced by four hands along the coast of the Tuscan Maremma, GR1 5652 is made from native Ansonica and Procanico grapes. The end result reflects us and our land. Our philosophy is based on healthy and respectful agriculture: every step of the process is done by hand. What we offer is a simple wine, but made with care. Inspired by the taste of the farmer's wine. IL PINGRO comes from 'il Pingrosso', the name of the place where we are located. In the middle of the field is a large maritime pine tree that our great-grandfather planted to find some shade on hot summer days. This pine tree, which grew solitary, became a 'big pine tree' in width, hence the name Pingrosso. Shortened to Pingro, for simplicity's sake. Today that pine has become our symbol, impossible not to notice.

On the palate has a Balance entrance with a silky mouthfeel lifted by a great acidity lingering on dark fruit like cassis evolving on a dense structure with chocolate, tobacco box and black cherry.

The Salustri farm extends in the heart of the Maremma Toscana, on the slopes of Monte Amiata, in a territory under the winds of the sea whose ideal microclimate has always allowed BIO farming. It is here that the Salustri family has been dedicated to agriculture for generations, producing quality wines, respecting the environment and traditions of the Maremma.
Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG Riserva La Casetta Podere Montale, Tasting notes:
Deep ruby colour. Intense aroma of small red fruits. Ageing in wood gives notes of liquorice and chocolate. On the palate it denotes a good acidic backbone well blended with an important structure. The tannin is present but never aggressive. Long and very persistent aftertaste.
Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG Riserva La Casetta Podere Montale
Riserva La Casetta is the estate’s most important wine, 100% Sangiovese with strong roots in the territory, which has proven to be suited to wines with long aging times and an important structure. The producer, Podere Montale was founded in July 2014 but found its true beginning with the first harvest of the 2015 vintage. The story is all to be written. The will and the road taken in these years is to create a reality well integrated at the territorial and social level, that can be a feather in the cap for the entire community and the name of Montecucco. The galestro soil on which the company stands is very suitable for the production of wine, being in a place that enjoys constant ventilation from the sea and the protection of Mount Amiata, behind them.
Podere Montale
Podere Montale, was founded in July 2014 but found its true beginning with the first harvest of the 2015 vintage. The story is all to be written. The will and the road taken in these years is to create a well-integrated reality on a territorial and social level, which can be a flagship for the entire community and for the name of Montecucco. The marl soil on which the company stands is very suitable for wine production, being located in a place that enjoys the constant ventilation of the sea and the protection of Monte Amiata.
Silio Ciliegiolo IGT Tenuta Montauto, Tasting notes:
A deep perfume, which initially recalls chocolate and then turns towards helichrysum and red fruits. Little by little it thickens with sensations of aromatic berries, such as myrtle, also in leaf, cassis and licorice root and cardamom.

Tenuta Montauto
At the Tenuta Montauto they are definitely lucky. There is nothing around them: only the silence as far as the eye can see of the thick Maremma woods, the wind, the hares and the hawks. There are no factories, no towns, no neighbours, no roads except the provincial road to Campigliola. An isolation that allows them to make uncompromising choices, in total freedom and with an absoluteness that comes from being released from the world. Besides isolation, they also have the good fortune of the providential sea air that always blows in from the west. The sea cannot be seen, but it can be felt in the wind that blows from Capalbio, which is only 10 km away as the crow flies. A wind that dries the vines and heals them from humidity.
Badilante IGT Sangiovese Podere 414 , Tasting notes:
Brilliant ruby red, the bouquet is characterised by fruity aromas that integrate with spicy perceptions. The palate shows medium structure, elegance and roundness conferred by the docility of the tannins.
The objective set for this wine is finalised in the creation of a drink endowed with great versatility capable of accompanying many traditional Tuscan dishes.

Podere 414 is a winery located in the picturesque Tuscan town of Scansano, in the heart of the Morellino di Scansano DOCG wine region.
At Podere 414, Marco Mantengoli produces wines that are a true expression of terroir, with a focus on quality and sustainability.
