Montalcino red wine
Rosso di Montalcino DOC Capanna is a classic 100% Sangiovese wine from Montalcino. Goes perfectly with pasta with meat sauce, roast white and red meat, mushrooms, cold meats and cheeses. Vinification takes place with alcoholic fermentation with maceration of the skins (18-20 days) at controlled temperature and spontaneous malolactic fermentation, both in truncated conical Slavonian oak vats. Refinement in Slavonian oak barrels from 20 to 32 hl for 6-10 months; followed by refinement in the bottle for at least 3-4 months.
Capanna
Azienda Capanna is one of the most historic producers of this wine in Montalcino.
Brunello, Rosso and Moscadello are their top products.
The Capanna winery, owned by the Cencioni family since 1957, is located in the Montosoli area, north of Montalcino. Founded by Giuseppe Cencioni; already in the 1960s he began bottling his own wines and, after the recognition of Brunello di Montalcino DOC in 1966, Giuseppe was one of the 25 founders of the Consorzio del Vino Brunello di Montalcino.
Production, initially a few thousand bottles, later increased with the planting of new vineyards. In 1975, the export of Brunello di Montalcino DOC – Capanna 1970 – to Germany began; in the following years, new markets were reached: United States of America, Canada, Switzerland, Belgium, Holland, Japan, Austria, Poland, Denmark and others .
The Capanna winery is still run exclusively by the family: moreover, it is Amedeo Cencioni himself, Patrizio’s son and representative of the fourth generation, who oversees the oenological and agronomic side of the winery.

Trebbiano wine from Carmignano
Trebbiano is the novelty and the bet of the company; produced for the first time in 2000 with the aim of relaunching the Trebbiano grape in Tuscany. From a mass selection, a short pruning, a severe green harvest, and a late harvest, Capezzana obtains a very rich must, which ferments and ages in tonneaux, acquires elegant perfumes, and lends itself to long aging. If you’re looking for the magic formula which makes their wines so special, you’ll find it in the great diversity of each vineyard’s soil and orientation that create extreme and fantastic biodiversity. Sangiovese from Montalcino
Tuscany is the home of red wine, particularly sangiovese.
Sangiovese grosso has found in montalcino a special terroir that, combined with the experience of the winegrowers, has created a legendary product famous throughout the world for its qualities.
Caprili
Caprili estate was founded in 1965 by Alfo Bartolomei and the first bottle of Brunello di Montalcino Caprili is the 1978 vintage, introduced on the market in 1983. The vineyards are raised by spurred cordon, they are at an altitude ranging from 225 to 340 m above sea level. The southwest exposure of the company, which looks towards the sea, enjoys the mitigating action of the winds that avoid stagnant humidity that can cause fungal attacks on the vineyards. Therefore the only interventions are based on contact substances such as copper and sulfur. The vinification follows the natural processes favoring the use of native yeasts, contained in the grapes themselves, this gives the wine its own precise territorial identity, easily recognizable and traceable. But at the same time never homologated in taste and perfumes, rather than following the changeability of the seasonal trend of the vintages, and expressing their particularity. The Caprili company covers an area of 58 hectares, southwest of the territory in the municipality of Montalcino, on the slope of the hill that slopes towards the Orcia and Ombrone rivers. The vineyard area is 15.5 hectares of which 14.5 are grown in Sangiovese Grosso from which Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC

Find its natural place in the Mediterranean cuisine in which extra virgin olive oil dominates. Excellent with pasta dishes with white sauces, rice salads, and pasta salads. Surprising is with the ribollita and all its variants that are found in Tuscany. Extraordinary with fish dishes prepared in any way: baked, fried, grilled or baked, as well as raw fish. Magnificent with various fries and eggs. Amazing with white meat prepared with sauces, and without. Excellent with vegetables of all seasons, and their preparations. Chianti Classico DOCG
Chianti Classico Castello di Monsanto is certainly among the best Chianti wines to be found. Produced from the estate's youngest vineyards, the Chianti Classico Annata combines the readiness and lightheartedness of the sip with the depth that Monsanto's soils give its wines.
Castello di Monsanto
There are two places at Castello di Monsanto that capture every visitor for the charm and the magic that is perceived: the Poggio’s hill and the historic cellar. Being able to transmit at least a tenth of the emotions you experience visiting the Monsanto winery is very difficult. The aromas, the echoes, the silences, the layers of noble molds make it a unique place that deserves at least one visit. The company has its origin from here. So from a climb on the Poggio and from a descent into the cellar, the idea of making a Cru in Chianti Classico was born for the first time. It was 1962 when the first 6,000 bottles of the Chianti Classico Riserva Il Poggio were produced. Of the 72 hectares planted with vineyards, between 260 and 310 meters s.l.m., 56 ha are in Sangiovese, the vine in which the company has deeply believed from the beginning. The Sangiovese clones present in the vineyards come from a mass selection of vines found in the vineyard Il Poggio, “the mother” of all the vineyards of Monsanto. In a small percentage are then present the two historical vines of the Chianti Classico vine: Canaiolo and Colorino.

Castellare di Castellina was born from the union of four farms. Those were the 70’s when the so-called Renaissance of the Italian wine had begun. A Renaissance to which Castellare was able to give its own contribution, keeping together tradition and innovation.
