Antonio Camillo:
Antonio Camillo’s wine cellar is located not far from Capalbio with vineyards extending over about nine hectares. They are mainly composed of old vines, between 40 and 50 years old. The varieties cultivated are obviously Ciliegiolo, with a small percentage destined for Vermentino and Sangiovese. Traditional working methods are followed between the rows, favouring manual operations and limiting interventions for health defence, using exclusively natural products such as copper and sulphur. Even in the cellar, the working method is oriented towards accompanying the wine in its natural course, trying to intervene as little as possible, without forcing the result of the harvest in any way. The wines that are signed each year by Antonio Camillo are recognisable by their elegant style, in which the balance of aromas and flavours is the ultimate goal.

Podere Montale, was founded in July 2014 but found its true beginning with the first harvest of the 2015 vintage. The story is all to be written. The will and the road taken in these years is to create a well-integrated reality on a territorial and social level, which can be a flagship for the entire community and for the name of Montecucco. The marl soil on which the company stands is very suitable for wine production, being located in a place that enjoys the constant ventilation of the sea and the protection of Monte Amiata.
Morellino di Scansano Fattoria le Pupille Tasting Notes:
Bright ruby red. The nose alternates between cherry, raspberry, redcurrant, blood orange and violet against a background of sweet spices. The taste is enveloping, soft, with relaxed tannins, accompanied by excellent freshness. The finish is of good persistence on fruity hints.

Morellino di Scansano is the wine that best represents, also in quantitative terms, the production of Fattoria Le Pupille. Since 1985, it has always accompanied the company as a full and constant expression of the territory.

The Le Pupille farm is located in Istia d’Ombrone, a small village on the outskirts of Grosseto;
in 1985 Elisabetta Geppetti, at that time a young girl of 20, took the reins of the winery; thanks to her, in 1982 the winery’s first ‘official’ label came out, a Morellino Riserva vintage 1978. In 1987 it was the turn of Saffredi, the wine that made the excellence of Maremma known far beyond its borders, soon becoming a true jewel of Italian oenology.
Even today, the company is still expanding, continuing the pursuit of quality in Maremma.

Morellino Di Scansano DOCG Riserva Le Sentinelle is Fattoria Mantellassi's top production of Morellino di Scansano DOC. It takes its name from the 2.5-hectare hillside vineyard where the grapes are grown. This wine is made from Morellino grapes-a native clone of Sangiovese that gave its name to the DOC appellation.

Mantellassi have always been winemakers, in 1960 began the planting of the first four hectares of vineyards in Banditaccia, up to the current one hundred. These extend on some of the many hills of the Fattoria, in terrains of tufaceous-calcareous nature with an ampelographic base consisting mainly of the Sangiovese grape, then of the Alicante, Cabernet Sauvignon, Morellino, Merlot, Canaiolo Nero, Black Malvasia, Ciliegiolo, Vermentino Bianco vines. , White Sauvignon. The Val Del Melo winery is located near the town of Castiglione della Pescaia, its proximity to the sea combined with its location at the bottom of the valley means that Pian di Rocca is characterised by a particularly temperate microclimate, 2-3 degrees higher than the local average. It is no coincidence that for years the area was the production site for the first fruits and vegetables of the Maremma. Since 2019, the company has been using certified organic farming, which guarantees genuine products of excellent quality
C'era e Non C'era, Vinification:
The grapes are destemmed and left almost entirely intact. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature of 27 degrees and maceration lasts about 25/30 days, followed by melolactic fermentation. Ageing takes place in 10hl French oak barrels for approximately 12 months, after which the wine is blended and bottled.
Alcohol content: 14.50°C.

Created as a tribute to the 'Butteri' that remains the symbol of the Maremma land, strong and elegant at the same time. Ornello (from the name of the wood), is the long pointed stick with which the cattle still move. It is characterised by a substantial percentage of Syrah grapes that make it very full and rich while maintaining the elegance and freshness typical of Rocca di Frassinello wines.

BotroseccoDOC Le Mortelle, Tasting notes:
Botrosecco 2021 has a ruby red colour. The nose is dominated by notes of ripe small red fruits such as currants and sour cherries, in harmony with delicate nuances of white pepper, tobacco and Mediterranean herbs. The palate is pleasant and persistent, with enveloping tannins and an intense finish of fresh fruit and cocoa.
Botrosecco DOC Le Mortelle
Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes, carefully selected at harvest, were destemmed and gently crushed and transferred to stainless steel tanks; here alcoholic fermentation took place at a temperature of around 25 °C in order to enhance the characteristic varietal aromatic component and maintain greater fruit integrity. During maceration, which lasted about 15 days, appropriate soaking of the pomace cap was carried out to extract only the most valuable tannins. The wine was then transferred to stainless steel tanks, where malolactic fermentation took place and was completed by the end of the year. Botrosecco rested 9 months in barriques before ageing in bottles.
Le Mortelle:
Fattoria Le Mortelle is located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, just a few kilometres from Castiglione della Pescaia, in an extraordinary and fascinating position both for its nature and for the history of the places that surround it. Since 1999, the family has been working on both the vineyards and the new wine cellar with the conviction that the area, still emerging in the Italian wine scene, is highly suited to the production of quality wines and that the characteristics of the terroir and the varieties cultivated can be best expressed here. The farm extends over 270 hectares, 170 of which are planted with vines. The 170 hectares of vineyards are mainly planted with Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, in addition to more recent plantings of white varieties such as Vermentino, Ansonica and Viognier, and a small proportion of Carménère. The soil, of medium texture, sandy and loamy, has a predominantly siliceous-clayey composition and is, in certain areas, rich in skeleton.
Ombra Blu Sassotondo, Tasting notes:
Ruby in colour, very consistent. The nose reveals notes of small red fruits, cedar and black pepper. The taste is concentrated and soft, very long but not heavy. *

The grapes are harvested and selected by hand and vinified separately. Fermentation takes place without the addition of yeast and lasts, including maceration, between 25 and 30 days. The wines mature for 12 months partly in barriques and partly in steel. Subsequently blended and bottled, the wine is aged for a minimum of 6 months in the bottle.

The producer, Sassotondo, works with passion in the lands that unite Pitigliano and Sovana. A powerful and mysterious territory: the autochthonous vines and an environment which is in some ways extreme – with tuff rising everywhere – produce fine and elegant wines, naturally concentrated, sapid and spicy. Sassotondo’s wines endeavor to communicate the power and mistery of the land they come from: the local varieties of vines combined with an unique environment, with the tufo stone that appears everywhere, make wines that are fine and elegant, naturally concentrated, sapid and spicy.

Cortigliano DOC Maremma Toscana Cacciagrande, Vinification:
Fermented in stainless steel at a controlled temperature for 20/30 days, malolactic fermentation and maturation take place in 300lt Barriques in medium-toasted allier French oak for 3/4 months, bottle ageing lasts approximately 3 months
Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG Podere Montale, Tasting notes:
Intense aroma of red fruit with spicy notes well harmonized given by the aging in wood.
Montecucco Sangiovese DOCG Podere Montale:
Obtained from the grapes of Sangiovese vineyards located in the highest part with south/west exposure. Red fermentation on the skins for about 15 - 20 days at controlled temperature (27/28 °C). This phase is followed by malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks specifically designed for the delicate extraction of tannins and colour. After this process the wine is placed in 3,000 litre oak barrels where it ages for 12 months. Finally, it is bottled and properly stored at a controlled temperature so that it can continue its refinement.
Podere Montale

Intense, deep ruby colour, the bouquet is characterised by primary aromas of red fruit that are integrated with perceptions of spice, discreetly complemented by woody notes. The palate is clean, broad and rounded yet lively thanks to a balanced acidity.

Vie Cave Fattoria Aldobrandesca, Tasting notes:
This wine has an intense, dark and dense ruby red colour. The nose offers fruity notes of blackberries, blueberries and sour cherries together with fragrant hints of cloves and vanilla. Its bouquet is complemented by light notes of tobacco. The palate is rich and captivating: velvety tannins support a long, lingering finish defined by hints of bitter chocolate and mint.
Vie Cave Fattoria Aldobrandesca, Vinification:
The freshly harvested grapes were brought to the cellar, destemmed, gently pressed and transferred to stainless steel tanks. The first stage was pre-fermentation cold maceration performed by lowering the temperature to 5-10 °C (41-50 °F) for 3 to 4 days in order to extract aromatic compounds and anthocyanins from the skins. The must temperature was then gradually increased to allow alcoholic fermentation at a controlled temperature of 30 °C (86 °F). The maceration techniques were carried out gently for the controlled extraction of soft tannins over a period of about one week. The wine was transferred to French oak barrels to complete malolactic fermentation and begin ageing for approximately 10 months. Vie Cave 2021 was bottle-aged for a further period before being released for sale.

The Fattoria Aldobrandesca estate is located in the southern part of Tuscan Maremma, in the center of what is known as “the Etruscan Tuff zone”.Maremma is often associated with its coastline, flat lands, pine tree forests, horses and local cowboys called “butteri”. The Fattoria Aldobrandesca estate is in rural Maremma located inland in an area known as the Tuff Area. Ancient civilizations built fascinating medieval fortresses and settlements on steep tuff bluffs that today are open-air museums. The history of Gramineta goes back about two centuries. The ancestors of the family that founded the company, in order to escape from malaria, a disease that was very present in the coastal area in the 1800s, were forced to sell their possessions and land in the Castiglione della Pescaia area to buy land in the Roccastrada area to cultivate olive trees and vines. They have always preferred the choice of a healthy and genuine agriculture far from large-scale production and the use of substances that encourage production at the expense of the quality of the final product. Today, they are producers of many high quality products, especially extra virgin olive oil, thanks to the suitable soil that enhances the native cultivars.

La Casa Rossa, Vinification:

Alcoholic fermentation takes place in steel tanks at a temperature of 27 °C and maceration lasts about 25 to 30 days, followed by malolactic fermentation. It matures in 10hl French oak barrels for about 24 months, after which the wine is blended and bottled.

Brancaia, winery in Chianti & Maremma
The history of Brancaia began in 1980 when the Widmer family, of Swiss origin, bought the Podere Brancaia in Castellina in Chianti as a summer residence in Tuscany. Bruno and Brigitte Widmer decided to produce only wines of the highest quality. What began as a hobby then, has grown steadily over the past 40 years to become one of the most important wineries in Tuscany. Brancaia loves and deeply respects the traditions of the past, but at the same time is not afraid to imagine new and modern approaches and organic viticulture has always been central for Brancaia.
Ilatraia Brancaia, iconic wine
Ilatraia is the excellent Brancaia wine from the Maremma area is extremely velvety with pleasant tannins, typical of wines from the Tuscan coast. The blend reflects all the beauty of its terroir. Matured in French barriques (50% new) for 18 months and a minimum of one year in bottle.
