Black Chickpea Podere Pereto, How to use:

The black chickpea is characterised by its distinctive dark colour, intense flavour and creamy texture. The skin is thicker than that of other varieties and makes the black chickpea more suitable for preparations with mashed or blended vegetables.

Preparation: after soaking for up to 24 hours, rinse  the chickpeas and then boil them in cold water. Bring to the boil and cook for about 2 hours (40 minutes in a pressure cooker).
