Sangiovese from Montalcino
Tuscany is the home of red wine, particularly sangiovese.
Sangiovese grosso has found in montalcino a special terroir that, combined with the experience of the winegrowers, has created a legendary product famous throughout the world for its qualities.
Caprili
Caprili estate was founded in 1965 by Alfo Bartolomei and the first bottle of Brunello di Montalcino Caprili is the 1978 vintage, introduced on the market in 1983. The vineyards are raised by spurred cordon, they are at an altitude ranging from 225 to 340 m above sea level. The southwest exposure of the company, which looks towards the sea, enjoys the mitigating action of the winds that avoid stagnant humidity that can cause fungal attacks on the vineyards. Therefore the only interventions are based on contact substances such as copper and sulfur. The vinification follows the natural processes favoring the use of native yeasts, contained in the grapes themselves, this gives the wine its own precise territorial identity, easily recognizable and traceable. But at the same time never homologated in taste and perfumes, rather than following the changeability of the seasonal trend of the vintages, and expressing their particularity. The Caprili company covers an area of 58 hectares, southwest of the territory in the municipality of Montalcino, on the slope of the hill that slopes towards the Orcia and Ombrone rivers. The vineyard area is 15.5 hectares of which 14.5 are grown in Sangiovese Grosso from which Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC

Vernaccia di San Gimignano
White wine from San gimignano, the Vernaccia grape is the most important DOCG of a Tuscan white wine.
A great white wine, from a single vineyard where the characteristics of the local grape par excellence, Vernaccia, emerge clearly and distinctly. Although pleasant when young, it often surprises for its ability to age, evolving notes, both olfactory and tasting, complex and mineral. It is not by chance that it is one of the very few white wines produced also in the reserved type. This Vernaccia di San Gimignano wine enhances many gastronomic combinations. Find its natural place in the Mediterranean cuisine in which extra virgin olive oil dominates. Excellent with pasta dishes with white sauces, rice salads, and pasta salads. Surprising is with the ribollita and all its variants that are found in Tuscany. Extraordinary with fish dishes prepared in any way: baked, fried, grilled or baked, as well as raw fish. Magnificent with various fries and eggs. Amazing with white meat prepared with sauces, and without. Excellent with vegetables of all seasons, and their preparations. Exquisite with fresh and medium-aged cheeses, which enhances the flavor.

Unit price perCocciuto IGT Fontuccia IGT, Tasting notes:
Intense amber, golden reflections. Intense aromas of yellow and white fruit supported by floral notes. Pleasantly emerging is that iodized minerality that recalls the purity of fresh sea air. A barely noticeable tannic texture and great elegance, an unattainable white in terms of energy, complexity and charm.
Cocciuto IGT Fontuccia IGT
Cocciuto because this wine is the result of their stubbornness in combining past and future passion and innovation. The Ansonica from our vineyards, burnt by the sun and buffeted by the winds, vinified in amphora with long maceration on the skins – about 6 months – during which the terracotta allows constant micro-oxygenation, preserving the most authentic aromas.
Fontuccia
Fontuccia dedicated everything to the island life and their passion is infinite, which viticulture today calls “heroic”. An archaic knowledge that they have chosen to protect, enhancing specificities and the beauty of their territory with this wine. They are one of the very few winegrowers on the island of Giglio. Heroic viticulture because their vineyards are small terraces on granite rocks overlooking the sea. The harvest is done by hand, as it was 80 years ago because even the use of tractors is impossible.
