Vernaccia di San Gimignano
White wine from San gimignano, the Vernaccia grape is the most important DOCG of a Tuscan white wine.
A great white wine, from a single vineyard where the characteristics of the local grape par excellence, Vernaccia, emerge clearly and distinctly. Although pleasant when young, it often surprises for its ability to age, evolving notes, both olfactory and tasting, complex and mineral. It is not by chance that it is one of the very few white wines produced also in the reserved type. This Vernaccia di San Gimignano wine enhances many gastronomic combinations. Find its natural place in the Mediterranean cuisine in which extra virgin olive oil dominates. Excellent with pasta dishes with white sauces, rice salads, and pasta salads. Surprising is with the ribollita and all its variants that are found in Tuscany. Extraordinary with fish dishes prepared in any way: baked, fried, grilled or baked, as well as raw fish. Magnificent with various fries and eggs. Amazing with white meat prepared with sauces, and without. Excellent with vegetables of all seasons, and their preparations. Exquisite with fresh and medium-aged cheeses, which enhances the flavor.

Castello di Monsanto
There are two places at Castello di Monsanto that capture every visitor for the charm and the magic that is perceived: the Poggio’s hill and the historic cellar. Being able to transmit at least a tenth of the emotions you experience visiting the Monsanto winery is very difficult. The aromas, the echoes, the silences, the layers of noble molds make it a unique place that deserves at least one visit. The company has its origin from here. So from a climb on the Poggio and from a descent into the cellar, the idea of making a Cru in Chianti Classico was born for the first time. It was 1962 when the first 6,000 bottles of the Chianti Classico Riserva Il Poggio were produced. Of the 72 hectares planted with vineyards, between 260 and 310 meters s.l.m., 56 ha are in Sangiovese, the vine in which the company has deeply believed from the beginning. The Sangiovese clones present in the vineyards come from a mass selection of vines found in the vineyard Il Poggio, “the mother” of all the vineyards of Monsanto. In a small percentage are then present the two historical vines of the Chianti Classico vine: Canaiolo and Colorino.

Palmazio Vermentino IGT La Piana
Not The classic Vermentino Toscano, this wine from capraia is an amazing Vermentino grown in the natural environment of Capraia. The La Piana farm, recovering old abandoned land on the island, produces only 2000 bottles of this wine a year. A 100% Vermentino, grown in the middle of the sea, on an unspoiled island where the gentle Mediterranean winds blow.
Floral aromas and citrus notes, gustative freshness and pleasant flavor
La Piana
The organic farm La Piana Capraia is located on the island of Capraia, within the Tuscan Archipelago National Park. The area to which it belongs, called “Il Piano S. Stefano”, is a magical and uncontaminated place where aromas, sounds, colors, and traditions blend with ancient tastes and knowledge, in which time seems to have stopped. The landscape, guarded by the agricultural presence, is designed by the discontinuity of vine rows in the Mediterranean scrub, terracing, dry stone walls, ancient cisterns, and by native ornamental species such as oleander, rosemary, ancient rose;

Tasting Notes:
This white blend combines freshness, texture and aromatic expression in a precise and vibrant vinification. Aged half in amphorae and half in stainless steel, it combines the purity of the fruit with remarkable depth of substance. The nose is intense, with aromas of ripe lemon, fresh pear, white flowers and fine herbs. On the palate, it stands out for its balance:
mineral tension, delicate volume, and a salty, persistent finish. The Incrocio Manzoni brings an unexpected, almost chalky signature that supports the frankness of the Sauvignon and the discreet roundness of the Chardonnay. A vibrant, chiselled wine with a strong personality.
La Corneta:
Rooted in Tuscany, in the heart of the prestigious Chianti Colli Aretini terroir, La Corneta bears the mark of time and the seasons. The wines are produced from 8 hectares of organically cultivated vineyards, where historic grape varieties coexist with rarer ones: Sangiovese, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc and Incrocio Manzoni. This diversity, combined with living soils and controlled yields, provides health and expressive raw materials. The approach is then based on rigorous vinification and careful selection of the containers for ageing: temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, barriques and tonneaux of different sizes and vintages, terracotta and cocciopesto amphorae are tools that are used with precision. This meticulous, contemporary and demanding method is part of a constant search for balance, structure and natural complexity, without standardising taste.

Trebbiano IGT Capezzana, Tasting notes:
It shows a straw yellow color and nuances of gold. To the nose almond, yellow flowers of the field, vanilla are the most present notes. To the palate it is intense, harmonic with delicate tannins. Elegant, ethereal and balanced, with a complex and persistent aftertaste.
Trebbiano is the novelty and the bet of the company; produced for the first time in 2000 with the aim of relaunching the Trebbiano grape in Tuscany. From a mass selection, a short pruning, a severe green harvest, and a late harvest, Capezzana obtains a very rich must, which ferments and ages in tonneaux, acquires elegant perfumes, and lends itself to long aging. If you’re looking for the magic formula which makes their wines so special, you’ll find it in the great diversity of each vineyard’s soil and orientation that create extreme and fantastic biodiversity. Pale gold color. The nose is lively with an explosion of white flesh peach, pear, lemon shortbread and mountain herbs with a finish of cedar and acacia honey. On the palate, however, it attacks fresh and exuberant on crisp notes of mango, grapefruit and plum finish.
A wine with a sublime ability to reflect the sunlight of the Maremma. Fresh and crisp notes intersect in a pure light of honey, lemon shortbread, perfect blonde grapes, mountain scents.” Despite the small production (about 5000 bottles per year), Monteverro considers its chardonnay as one of the most important wines of the winery
