San Polo
San Polo is situated on the south-eastern slope of Montalcino hill, at an altitude of 450 metres, the 22 hectares of the estate, 16 of which are planted with Sangiovese, are characterized by a dry, breezy microclimate, with wide diurnal and seasonal temperature swings. In the cellar, an admirable example of bio-architecture, designed to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact, the grapes are processed with artisan care to enhance the finesse of the Sangiovese aromas. The essence of San Polo, in fact, is to take the wines back to the vineyard that generated them, so as to express the concept of terroir to the full. Man’s intervention is nothing more than bringing the wine closer to nature, adopting a viticulture that respects the soil, the microclimate and the biodiversity of the place, so that the biological cycle of the vineyard and the pedoclimatic context are in perfect harmony.

The Guicciardini Strozzi family boasts over a thousand years of history. Wine producers since time immemorial (since 994), have several estates scattered throughout Tuscany with deep roots in the territory and prominent personalities among their ancestors. Desiderio IGT Avignonesi, Tasting notes:
Explosive olfactory impact. The wide aromatic bouquet ranges from cherry and plum jam to notes of black tea, rhubarb and graphite, with small final notes of fermented tobacco. The palate is invested by the imposing and typical structure of Tuscan Merlot wrapping and warm. Tastefully in symbiosis with the olfactory notes, the dense and linear tannin accompanies nuances of coconut and black pepper in the back.
A 100% Merlot wine that is perfect to pair game meat recipes. Desiderio was a bull who lived on the Le Capezzine farm in Avignonesi more than a hundred years ago. The largest bull in Tuscany at that time, this majestic animal contributed to defining the Chianina cattle breed, specific of the Bistecca Fiorentina. It was a natural choice to dedicate this Merlot to the beloved bull as a testimony of the origin of the wines. This is Merlot from Tuscany at its best.

Occhio di Pernice a 100% sangiovese wine
This amazing Vin santo is the result of an exceptionally long aging process during which more than half of this precious liquid evaporates. It has been calculated that with the same quantity of grapes used to produce one of their 375 ml bottles, twenty-four 750 ml bottles of wine can be produced. Made from 100% Sangiovese grapes, this is the result of a strict selection of the best grapes, drying for many months on bamboo mats in the appassitoio and then 10 years in oak barrels, in contact with the mother, indigenous yeast more than 100 years old. The wine is perfect as a Meditation wine, but also with dry pastry as Cantucci Toscani or Chocolate.

Sangiovese from Montalcino
Tuscany is the home of red wine, particularly sangiovese.

The southwest exposure of the company, which looks towards the sea, enjoys the mitigating action of the winds that avoid stagnant humidity that can cause fungal attacks on the vineyards. Therefore the only interventions are based on contact substances such as copper and sulfur. The vinification follows the natural processes favoring the use of native yeasts, contained in the grapes themselves, this gives the wine its own precise territorial identity, easily recognizable and traceable. But at the same time never homologated in taste and perfumes, rather than following the changeability of the seasonal trend of the vintages, and expressing their particularity. The Caprili company covers an area of 58 hectares, southwest of the territory in the municipality of Montalcino, on the slope of the hill that slopes towards the Orcia and Ombrone rivers. The vineyard area is 15.5 hectares of which 14.5 are grown in Sangiovese Grosso from which Brunello di Montalcino DOCG and Rosso di Montalcino DOC

Monteverro’s flagship. A true Premier Grand Cru of Maremma, made from the classic Bordeaux grape varieties Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Petit Verdot and yet with the unmistakable character of the Tuscan coast. The grapes are exclusively from prime locations on Monteverro slopes which flow gently to the sea, the wine is aged for about 24 months in barriques from the best coopers and then for two years in the bottle.

Monteverro
The Monteverro estate is located at the foot of the medieval village of Capalbio, in the southernmost part of Tuscany, the Maremma. A genuine passion for wine dictates that no compromises are made in the manual processing and selection of grapes during the harvest, to finally bring each grape variety, each terroir and each vintage to its maximum expression, with precision and by adopting innovative winemaking techniques.
Chardonnay Monteverro IGT, Tasting notes:
Pale gold color. The nose is lively with an explosion of white flesh peach, pear, lemon shortbread and mountain herbs with a finish of cedar and acacia honey. On the palate, however, it attacks fresh and exuberant on crisp notes of mango, grapefruit and plum finish.
A wine with a sublime ability to reflect the sunlight of the Maremma. Fresh and crisp notes intersect in a pure light of honey, lemon shortbread, perfect blonde grapes, mountain scents.” Despite the small production (about 5000 bottles per year), Monteverro considers its chardonnay as one of the most important wines of the winery
