Con un bellissimo colore oro antico con riflessi rame, il naso rivela aromi intensi, puliti e piacevoli; note raffinate ed eleganti di cioccolato, fico e prugna secca, nocciola, noce, liquirizia, tabacco, miele. In bocca è intenso, con un'eccellente corrispondenza al naso. Il finale è molto persistente con lunghi sapori di cioccolato, fico secco, prugna e nocciola.

"Chianti Classico Gran Selezione La Sala è un vino che si abbina perfettamente con carni rosse di selvaggina. 100% Sangiovese selezionato e raccolto a mano da un singolo vigneto di 1,5 ettari. La vinificazione inizia con l'uso di lieviti indigeni per la fermentazione, che dura circa due settimane. Macerazione per tre settimane a temperature controllate che non superano i 25°C. Dopo di che, un lungo invecchiamento di 36 mesi in una singola botte di rovere francese da 38hl non tostato. Invecchiamento in bottiglia minimo 6 mesi."

Sancta Catharina combines the drinkability of Sangiovese typical of Montepulciano with the fruitiness of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon.
